Step #1

Optimize Your LinkedIn Profile

Your profile is your landing page.

Grade A leads come from tracking your audience.

When someone sees your comment or receives a connection request, they’ll check your profile first. That’s how everyone does it on LinkedIn.

The easiest way to learn? See how others do it.

Quick Checklist

☐ Professional photo
   — High-quality headshot
   — Solid background
   — Smiling, approachable

☐ Clear headline
   — Not just your job title
   — State WHO you help + WHAT you do

☐ Compelling About section
   — Tell your story (why you do what you do)
   — What problem you solve
   — Who you work with
   — Keep it 3-4 short paragraphs

☐ Featured section
   — Add your best content (posts, articles, case studies)
   — Shows credibility immediately

Step #2

Add Competitors to Monitor

Grade B leads come from tracking your competitors’ audiences.

Who to track:

✔️ Direct competitors in your niche

— Similar service as yours
— Their audience = your ideal clients

✔️ Industry influencers your ICP follows

— Not competitors, but thought leaders
— Their audience cares about your topic

❓ Not sure how to find Competitors to Track ❓

Step 1: LinkedIn Search

   → Search your industry keywords
   → Filter: People (not companies)
   → Look for profiles with “Creator” or “Top Voice” badges

Step 2: Visit their profile and check

   ☐ Posting 2-3x per week minimum
   ☐ Getting 70+ likes/comments per post
   ☐ Content is relevant to your niche
   ☐ Audience engages (not bots, but humans)

Step 3: Competitor Types

Mix these two types:

1. Direct Competitors
   → Same service as you
   → Same target audience

2. Industry Influencers
   → Not direct competitors
   → But serve the same audience
   → Thought leaders in your space

Red flags (DON’T track these)

❌ Posts once a month (not enough content)
❌ Low engagement (under 50 likes per post)
❌ Wrong audience (B2C when you’re B2B)
❌ Inactive (no posts in last 2 weeks)

How to add them in LinkeIQ:

   1. Go to Settings → Monitoring
   2. Click [Edit]
   3. Add their LinkedIn profile URL
   4. Click [Save]

LinkeIQ will start tracking your competitors daily and you’ll see all the people who engage with their posts in your Prospects TAB. (automatically)

Test & Replace

   — Track for 30 days
   — Review quarterly

If one isn’t generating quality leads → replace them

💡 Pro Tip:

Add ACTIVE profiles with ENGAGED audiences.

Not vanity metrics (big follower count ≠ good leads).

Step #3

Set Up Your Watchlist

The Watchlist is a list of 15-20 targeted profiles where you’ll comment daily.

This activity will warm up your network and get you huge visibility.

It’s one of the best ways to create organic reach.

You can be visible (monthly) to 50,000+ people…
Without spending a cent on ads.

Who to Add:

1. Your Tracked Competitors (2)

   — The 2 profiles from Step 2
   — You’re already tracking them anyway

2. Industry Influencers (5)

   — Big accounts in your niche
   — 5,000+ followers
   — Post regularly with high engagement
   — Their audience = your ideal clients

3. Strategic Partners (3)

   — People you want to collaborate with
   — Agencies, consultants, course creators
   — Could refer clients to each other

4. Dream Clients (3)

   — Companies/people you want to work with
   — Decision-makers at target companies
   — Build rapport before pitching

❓ Not sure how to find Key Accounts for your Watchlist ❓

Method 1: LinkedIn Search

   → Search industry keywords
   → Filter: People
   → Sort by: Followers
   → Look for “Creator” badge

Method 2: Follow the Engagement

   → Check who comments on your competitors’ posts
   → Find the profiles showing up repeatedly

Method 3: Your Network

   → Check who your best clients follow
   → Ask: “Who do you follow for [topic] advice?”
   → Add those profiles to your Watchlist

How to add them in LinkeIQ:

   1. Go to Sales CRM → Watchlist
   2. Click [Add to Watchlist]

Why commenting?

When you comment, daily:

   — LinkedIn’s algorithm shows YOUR profile to THEIR audience
   — You become a “familiar name” before reaching out
   — When you DM their followers later, they recognize you
   — This is how you “ethically steal” competitor audiences

Step #4

Block Your Calendar

Consistency beats intensity.

Block these two time slots NOW:

☐ Daily: 45 minutes — “Money Making Hour” 💰

Best times:

   — Morning: 9-10am
   — Midday: 12-1pm
   — Evening: 5-6pm

What you’ll do:

   — COMMENT: 5 posts from Watchlist (10 min)
   — CONNECT: 20 connection requests (10 min)
   — REPLY: Active conversations (25 min)

☐ Weekly: 2 hours — “Content Creation” 📈

What you’ll do:

   — Write 3 LinkedIn posts (Mon/Wed/Fri)
   — Build your audience asset
   — Grow your brand

   — Set a phone alarm 5 minutes before
   — Add LinkeIQ URL to calendar event (description)
